The Fleet Services Section is seeking an Automotive Parts Clerk to coordinate procurement ensuring availability of all parts and equipment for the continued operation of the Fleet Centre. As Automative Parts Clerk you will be involved in buying, receiving, storing, and issuing automotive parts and establishing contacts to obtain non-standard and obsolete parts. The successful applicant approves and authorizes purchase orders within defined monetary values and assists in the preparation of annual standing contracts. You will maintain and secure Fleet Centre inventory. Duties of this position include extensive record keeping and accounting for a large variety of automotive parts, equipment, materials, tools and other supplies related to vehicle maintenance. Requirements include: Grade 12 or equivalent; Provincial Trades qualification in Industrial Warehousing, or as an Automotive Partsperson; Experience with personal computers and computer-based applications; Three years of related experience; An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered; and, a Valid Class 3 BC driver's licence. The successful candidates will work Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:00p.m. (40 hours per week). Although we thank all applicants for applying, only those under consideration will be contacted.
