The City of Trail’s Public Works Department is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the temporary position of Water Treatment Plant Operator. This position is to cover a parental leave that is expected to be 12 months in duration. Reporting to the Utilities Superintendent, the incumbent will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the City’s Class III Water Treatment Facilities. Qualifications for this position include:
A detailed job description outlining the specific duties and qualifications more fully is attached. The wage for this CUPE Local 2087 position is $37.87 per hour and is dependent upon EOCP certification level. Applicants must be prepared to provide proof of education/certification and a current driver’s abstract. The City of Trail may undertake any testing deemed necessary to assess an applicant and may involve the utilization of an independent company as required.
