SUMMARY:Call for Expressions of Interest
DESCRIPTION:The Public Works Association of British Columbia (PWABC) is looking for new members to join the Board of Directors for two-year terms beginning in January of 2025. \nWe are interested in individuals currently working in all positions within public works in the Province of BC. Board positions are a two year term with meetings occurring once a month (virtually) and a number of volunteer options for contributing to other areas of interest. \nThings we are looking forward to: \n• Joint annual conference with BC Municipal Safety Association\n• Leadership Training\n• Annual General Meeting (Nov 20\, 2024 at 12:00)\n• Awards program\n• Women in Public Works – 1/2 day program and networking (March)\n• Expanding our virtual workshop/courses offerings\n• Refresh our Emerging Leaders programing and networking\n• Maturing our media content\n• Strengthening our relationship with APWA and other stakeholders \nIf you would like to join our board of directors\, please submit your expression of interest (ie: resume and covering letter) to executivedirector@pwabc.ca by November 13th\, 2024 for review and consideration by our Board Member Selection Committee. \nElections are held as part of the Annual General Meeting on November 20\, 2024 at noon. \nMany thanks\,\nPWABC Membership
