SUMMARY:Flush Truck Operations Course
DESCRIPTION:The Public Works Association of B.C. is pleased to introduce Safe Jet BC! Safe Jet BC is an EOCP recognized training provider for all levels of Flush Truck Operators. Safe Jet BC will be in Penticton B.C. on October 10th and 11th\, 2024 to provide the following two day training opportunity\, Safe Jetting Storm/Sanitary Infrastructure (Course Number: 8047\, CEU’s: 0.60)\, Safe Jetting Storm/Sanitary Practical Field Application (Course Number: 8142\, CEU’s 0.60). \nThe two day course will educate operators on the safe and efficient operation of jetting equipment used to clean\, repair and maintain storm and sanitary sewer lines. The courses include information on operating procedures\, everyday problems encountered\, how to diagnose\, assess and resolve issues in pipelines\, hydraulics in sanitary and storm sewer pipes as well as practical and hands on demonstrations of jetting equipment used in municipal operations. Operators will understand cleaning techniques\, equipment selection and general storm and sanitary operational improvements. This half day workshop is designed to: \n\nProvide a basic understanding of winter operations\nIncrease operator understanding of winter materials and how they work\nProvide an overview of winter equipment and its upkeep\nEncourage enhanced communication between fleet personnel and operators\nDiscuss winter operations for operators\n\nResulting in more effective\, efficient\, equitable and environmentally-friendly snow and ice control.  There is a short content test for this program; participants will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the program as long as they have been present throughout the entire workshop and complete the test with an 80% or better.
